Established in 1948 as a market garden, Newquay Garden Centre has seen many changes over the years, doubling in size, staff members and the addition of our flower shop and restaurant.
One thing has remained, we are still a family run business. In January 2023 Newquay Garden Centre celebrated our 75th birthday. We are now third generation family run, as well as a few of our staff working with us for over 20 years. Meet the people that make Newquay Garden Centre Possible.
Our Core Staff
Wilfrid
Founder
Wilfrid Established Newquay Garden Centre in 1948 as a market garden growing produce for the hotels in Newquay. Wilfrid worked within the business for over 60 years, passing in 2010, he handed the business over to daughter Lisa. Wilfrid was a passionate plant man and incredibly knowledgeable horticulturist who helped grow and establish the Garden Centre to what we we now know today.
